This time of year is my favorite when the cotton is ready for picking and the Southern snow is perfection. Â When I was in college, I used to take back roads so I could take in the farm land and breath in the fall air. Â I remember telling a friend one time that I sometimes would pull off on the side of the road and walk through a cotton field in Oak City to clear my head before getting back into Greenville. Â That friend made fun of me, but I still get that itch to pull over and walk through a field to shake out the thoughts in my head when I need to focus. Â I have been eyeing this dress from Anthro for a while, just waiting for the right time to style it in my favorite cotton field close by our house. Â I love the print, the sleeves, the flowing fabric, but also the coloring for fall! Â And my favorite cowboy boots never go out of style.

What is your favorite part of fall? Â Pumpkins are definitely a top 3 for me, but cotton fields take the cake for me!
Hope you’re having a great start to the week!

What a gorgeous dress! Perfect as we transition into fall 🙂 Although it’s still burning hot in Florida, I may be able to get away with a long dress like that since the slit gives it good air ventilation 🙂
What a fun fall maxi dress and that pattern is stunning!! xo, Biana –BlovedBoston

There used to be a lot more cotton fields in the Triangle area years ago, so when I ran past a bunch of cotton fields this weekend on my relay run through eastern NC I had a pang of nostalgia. By the way, that dress looks great, and I love the pics – especially the 3/4 length portrait!
