With David and I celebrating our 8th wedding anniversary next week, I wanted to take some time to highlight gift ideas for your other half if you exchange gifts. While David and I are not big gift givers, we have stuck with giving each other themed gifts for each year on our anniversary so far. We like to supplement that with annual trips that we take since we prefer trips and experiences to gifts instead. With that in mind, here are wedding anniversary gift ideas for your other half for years 6-10.
Wedding Anniversary Gifts for your Other Half: Years 6-10
Year 6: Candy/Iron or Wood
Candy is definitely an easy one to incorporate with iron or wood as a fun gift. David and I went to Nashville for a weekend trip back in 2017 and we fell in love with Goo Goo Clusters, so these are a go-to for us in stockings each year. So, it made sense for us to incorporate this into our anniversary gifts. David is from Buffalo, so sponge candy is something that I enjoy as well!
A few other ideas here include a custom charcuterie board, an Our Place pan which is a true life saver in the kitchen, iron planters to hang and a custom belt buckle.
For experiences, look into local businesses to see what you may be able to explore! In Raleigh, there is Videri, which offers tours of the chocolate factory.

Year 7: Wool/Copper or Desk Sets
This is a fun one because for us, we have enjoyed incorporating picnics into our date night routine. So, a washable wool blanket is a perfect addition for us! I also love this set of 2 copper Moscow mule mugs. A catch-all for jewelry and knick-knacks is so lovely for a nightstand. And I have loved this acrylic desk for my laptop, reading, or coffee in bed. Of course, a good cashmere sweater is always a good option!
For experiences, consider packing a picnic with your new washable wool blanket! Here are some of my favorite spots for a picnic in Raleigh.

Year 8: Pottery/Bronze or Linens/Lace
A potted plant in a terracotta pot is such a great gift idea for year 8! I always enjoy a good set of sheets, and linen is my new favorite for hot, humid weather. I mentioned before that I like catch-alls, and a copper one is a great option if you haven’t previously gifted one. I will never turn down a robe, and this lace trimmed one is a gorgeous option for an anniversary gift. And who can turn down a classic pair of Ray-Ban shades, especially Aviators!
For experiences, book a trip to the Heart of North Carolina to explore Seagrove Pottery!

Year 9: Willow/Wicker or Leather
What better gift than going all in on matching {faux} leather jackets? Other great gift ideas for this year include leather AirPod case, a leather card case that would be perfect for traveling, wicker rocking chairs for a splurge, and willow branches to decorate your interior with!
For experiences, planning a picnic using a wicker basket or planting a willow tree are great options!

Year 10: Tin/Aluminum or Diamond Jewelry
David started collecting classic tin lunch boxes, and I would certainly pick one up for him from one of our local antique shops. However, this Stanley option is great one for longer days that he has! This tea set is such a lovely gift idea and the individual tin tea sets. While I am definitely not the chef in our house and leave that to David, this stainless steel cookware set is a fantastic gift! For diamond jewelry, I adore this David Yurman ring with the diamond details.
For experiences, rent an Airstream and go camping for a weekend. Or, if you’re like me, I’d prefer renting a tin roof AirBnB!
