Last weekend, I worked on my final project for one of my graduate school classes, but took a break to head to Wake Forest for a little dinner with Angela & Glory. I have been relieved for a slower November to focus on getting my assignments done. I am still in disbelief that I am submitting a final project today and that my semester ends right after Thanksgiving! I wore this buffalo check skirt that I picked up from the Tanger Outlet Holiday Preview night from J. Crew Factory paired with my trusty pair of suede boots, a favorite Banana Republic top, a new tote from the Hearth and Hand collection at Target, and a pair of Hipstik tights, which by the way, are the best tights… ever.
I really foresee myself wearing this outfit a lot in the upcoming holiday season, just perhaps paired with different tops, shoes, and accessories. For this particular dinner, I decided to add a little sparkle with my Mignonne Gavigan earrings. Honestly, it was a comfortable outfit to wear, which I do not always feel about an outfit that requires tights.
What are you planning on wearing for Thanksgiving this year? I always day dream about a formal Thanksgiving, but it always ends up being a casual affair, which suits DG and our guests really well, honestly.
Also, this was my first time in Wake Forest for a reason other than work, and I am obsessed with the quaint downtown. What are your favorite restaurants, places to shop, things to do in this town? P.S. Did you catch last week’s post about the NC restaurants I’m wanting to try? I’m always open to suggestions!
I hope you have a great week! My final project is due tonight at 8:00PM and then I’ll be preparing for my final research paper in my POLISCI class. What I’m most excited about this week is getting to attend the Rural Assembly hosted by the Rural Forum on Thursday and Friday.
