Celebrating Four Years of Marriage

I feel like I blinked and suddenly here we are celebrating four years of marriage.  I always love preparing for this post because I go back through and read the ones from before.  I usually do not divulge too much on here of the happenings between us that makes life interesting.  However, when reading the previous posts, I can always reflect on where we were and how far we’ve come, which is one of the reasons why I look forward to this series.

This past year of marriage has really brought DG and I together closer than we’ve ever been.  There have been some really high moments for us, but also some of the lowest lows we’ve experienced together.  It is hard for me to believe we have been together over seven years now, and just how much we have stuck by each other.  Relationships are funny like that, but in this particular year, we have just really been in tune with each other.  Recently, there have been some challenges happening for me, and DG has been my constant cheerleader and sounding board.  Last week, I came home from work on Friday afternoon after a particularly hard week, and he said “I have decided to take you to the beach tomorrow to get you away from here.”  That was exactly what I needed and I am really thankful for his thoughtfulness, and to be fair, it sums up exactly how supportive he has been over this past year.

We are really looking forward to celebrating our 4th anniversary today with some relaxation, a great dinner out, and doing what we love to do, explore a new place together.  We have made it a tradition of ours to do a little trip to celebrate our relationship.  Here are the ones from our previous years:
