Happy Friday, friends! Â This week went by so fast, I am doing a double take at my calendar this morning! Â I am so excited to share my June 2018 edition of coffee talk!
The most wish-listed Airbnb in each state. Â I mean, I added all of these places to my travel list.
I finally got to try Saltbox Seafood Joint a weeks ago, and y’all, it was worth all the hype! Â I ordered the hush hunnies, the fried shrimp sandwich, and a Cheerwine. Â It was literally the best! Â There are two locations in Durham, this is the one on Mangum and it has a limited (and delicious) menu.
Another restaurant I recently tried was so*ca in Cameron Village. Â My girlfriends and I had brunch after a Flywheel class, and it was another gem. Â I ordered the Pork Belly Benedict and I would 100% order it again.
A very dear friend sent me this article when I was struggling with a recent situation. Â It was so relevant, especially when I have made a conscious effort to remind myself what I have control over in my life.
Monday marks the end of summer session 1, which means I am now over halfway done! Â Time is flying by, y’all! Â I have really enjoyed my most recent professor, especially since this is the third time I have taken a course with her. Â This time, it was a course I designed based off of one from the spring on rural education and economic development and the role women play in those two topics. Â Talk about my dream course.
I am so excited to be finalizing our master bedroom and our second guest bedroom this month. Â DG’s family is coming to visit next month which was the perfect excuse for us to finish those two rooms. Â I shared my inspiration for our master bedroom here. Â I’m mostly excited that we are going to finally have a king size bed. Â Stay tuned for that unveiling soon (and follow along on Instagram for sneak peeks as well).
Recently, I have been in a bit of a style rut. Â I have been pretty uninspired with clothes I’ve seen recently. Â Where do you go for outfit inspiration?
This month, DG and I are celebrating our 4th wedding anniversary, and I am over the moon about it. Â We have a fun little getaway planned but more importantly, this has been my favorite year of marriage so far. Â I’ll be doing my annual post at the end of the month so I hope you’ll check it out.
Did you see these Rifle Paper Co x Corkcicle pieces? Â I am obsessed.
Have you seen my recent posts? Â Here are warm weather packing essentials, May instagram round up, Raleigh Favorite: Mandolin, 14 NC small towns for road trips, 2018 Father’s Day Gift Guide, and a recap of my recent trip to Tampa.
I hope y’all have a great weekend!  I am looking forward to some time to celebrate Glory‘s upcoming wedding on Saturday, taking Courtney on her first trip ever to Bojangles, and celebrating my dad on Sunday!
Great post and linked article. I have always suffered from #s 2 and 10. Like anything, I also think one could go overboard in trying to control those things and end up being too self-centered. Finding the right balance is key in nearly everything.
So true! I definitely have been looking for balance! Hope you’re well! xx
