Happy Friday!  Can you believe it’s the middle of March?  I’m so excited about the weekend because my parents are coming in to town to visit.  It’s pretty rare that they stay both nights, and I’m so looking forward to spending time with them.
I am overjoyed with the support and positive reinforcement I have received regarding my decision to go back to grad school.  I’m really excited, but also super nervous and concerned if I’ve taken on too much.  I’ll still be focusing on education in my program, with my long term goal focusing on supporting schools in eastern North Carolina.
Speaking of which, over the past month, I have heard from several former students who just wanted to check in with me. Â These students have all gone on to tell me that they’ve decided to major in something social studies related, and that they attribute their interest to something I taught them in my class years ago. Â Do y’all know what that does to a teacher’s heart? Â In case you don’t, it makes you feel like your heart is going to explode into a million pieces of pride and joy because you impacted these students’ positively.
So, um, I’ve kept this a little separate, but DG and I are listing our house soon. Â We are currently searching for homes and it’s perhaps the most stressful thing I’ve done since planning our wedding. Â The two houses we’ve really liked sold in less than a day.
Last week, I realized I booked our Spring Break flight to Nashville in the wrong directions. Â I’ve had a new idea for a trip, but we have a credit to Southwest, that just so happens to be enough to cover 2 round trip tickets to Havanna. Â Anyone been? Â Thoughts?
It! Cosmetics has really blown me away with their products over the past year. Â Their newest product, Confidence in an Eye Cream, is an instant booster for my tired eyes these days. Â I’m running on empty right now but this eye cream makes me look like I got a solid 8 hours. Â P.S. How cute is this coffee mug & coffee canister they sent?Â
And last night, I shopped till I dropped with my buddy KP at the Tanger Outlets in Mebane. Â I am so excited for spring clothes, and this preview night was perfect. Â I picked up all kinds of goodies for DG & me, and our house. Â If you are in the area and looking for a one stop shop on all the spring trends, definitely make a day trip out to Mebane for some awesome shopping!
Anyone else tuned into March Madness? Â I LOVE this time of the year! Â Who are you picking to win it all?
I am completely obsessed with OPI Is That a Spear In Your Pocket. Â I had a manicure on Wednesday and I can’t stop admiring the color.
What’s on your mind this week?
I hope you have a great weekend! Â See you back here Monday for weekending!
P.S. Did you catch this week’s posts? Â Here’s a weekending recap (with my grad school announcement), a transition look with J. Jill, a review of the gorgeous Kimpton Glover Park Hotel & Casolare in D.C., and a road trip guide to Greensboro, NC.

You are going to do just fine too! 🙂 Alright, better than fine, GREAT. 🙂 I so do not mean to sound clueless here, but are you guys thinking about going to Havanna, as in Cuba? If you are, I did one of my study abroad programs there. 🙂 Hope that you are having a great weekend so far too!!

Those comments from your students made me happy so I know you were about to burst! I’m adding that eye cream to my list to try. I’ve tried some good ones, but I’ve yet to find one that really blows me away and I think this has to potential to be IT. Pun totally intended
