The second day of our road trip to D.C. to attend The Blog Societies’ Workshop included a stay at the new Kimpton Glover Park Hotel and dinner at Casolare in D.C. Â We were completely blown away with the drive through Georgetown to get to our hotel in the Glover Park neighborhood. Â It is a gorgeously decorate space and I truly wish I could get the decorator to come style our shelves in our house. Â Our room was on the 8th floor and had the best view of the city, including the Washington monument.
The design of the interior is to reflect the hotel’s name sake. Â It’s named after the nearby park, Glover Archbold Park, and the designs bring in the aspects of nature. Â There are pops of green and gold throughout the hotel, and the rooms have a bright, airy feature while also infusing tranquility.
Amenities
This hotel has the best communal spaces downstairs with coffee and tea in the mornings, and wine hour in the evening. Â There is a great patio for warmer evenings with market lights, which is a sure-fire way to make me love a space even more.
The residential neighborhood is perfect for exploring. Â There were some serious house goals on this street.

Accommodations
Our room was great with the amount of space we had, but we couldn’t beat the view. Â We had the City View Queen Queen room and the linens were so soft and the mattress felt like sleeping on a cloud. Â I meant to check what brand it was because DG and I are in the market for a new mattress! Â I loved how bright our room was and the gorgeous details throughout the room. Â My favorite was the mercury glass top desk.

Dining
We had a stellar start to our dinner with a wine plate delivered to our room courtsey of Casolare, which is downstairs in the hotel. Â Casolare’s chef, Michael Schlow, was named the best chef in the Northeast by the James Beard Foundation. Â Y’all know who else has won James Beard awards? Â Ashley Christensen & Vivian Howard. Â So, if he’s in the same company as them, you know that I fan girled.
The dinner menu is inspired by coastal Italy and omg, it is delightful. Â For our appetizers in the restaurant we ordered grilled octopus, polpette “alla pugliese,” and oysters. Â For dinner, Angela, Danielle, and I all ordered the Bianca pizza that we devoured, and Glory ordered the fettuccine. And for dessert, we ordered these tiny little dough bites that were filled with chocolate. Â It was a delicious meal with a great atmosphere. Â I wish I could have that pizza every night.
Prior to leaving, we had breakfast delivered to our room and the housemade granola and yogurt was a huge hit. Â I ordered eggs, bacon, and homefries and was so glad I did! Â It was delicious! Â And Glory ordered the smoothie of the day, and I wished I had gotten one to go.
If you’re looking for an awesome place to stay in D.C., definitely check out the Kimpton Glover Park Hotel. Â There are so many awesome amenities and you don’t have to leave the venue for a delicious meal.
