Y’all, it’s been a while since I shared about our home office update. But I’m back to share our home office decor and reveal today. David completed renovated our home office last summer and I’ve enjoying the space so much since then. I’ve also had a lot of fun styling the shelves for the various seasons and having a place to keep all my books. We still have a few more pieces to add, but here is our home office decor and reveal.

Home Office Decor and Reveal
Prior to the renovation, we had a few items that we kept in our office decor including the two armchairs, this floor lamp, and my desk and desk lamp.
Most of our home has pretty neutral touches, but when we decided to go with lamanent flooring in here, we also decided to go with a vibrant rug. I love the color scheme in the rug and that it plays off of the colors present in our shelving decor. We kept everything else around the room neutral with the addition of the rug, which was a great decision.
At our last home, David built a window seat in our bonus room for me with a little reading nook. I loved that little space and was sad not to have one in our new home. When he started planning out this space, I was over the moon to see addition of a window seat. It’s a great, cozy spot to get some reading done. I opted for another custom made window seat cushion, but this time, we went with a neutral one. See my custom made Rifle Paper Co. window seat cushion that is now in our mudroom here.
Last summer, I went to Vita Vite Midtown to meet some of my girlfriends and I absolutely adored the custom books with locations. We usually collect paintings and prints from places we visit, but we were starting to run out of space. This option seemed like such a great one for still capturing our travels. So, I found a local artist on Etsy who recycles books with handlettered spines to immolate the look. She has so many gorgeous options in her shop and will custom make your titles for you as well! I opted for Kraft paper and loved the simple look for our shelves.
Unfortunately, this room doesn’t get great natural light, so I opted for faux greenery in here to brighten it up. Here are some of my favorite faux greenery options if you have a similar lighting situation in your rooms. To help with some of our lighting concerns, we added these little disk lights that are remote controlled to add night on really overcast days or at night. We liked these so much we added them under our kitchen cabinets, too!
