I shared several low key Valentine’s Day date night ideas last week, and if you’re like me, I prefer to avoid the Valentine’s Day rush. With Valentine’s Day falling on a Friday night, we will definitely be staying in and ordering takeout. However, I also like to take some time for myself for self love and self care on Valentine’s Day as well. Here are a few of my favorite ways to love yourself on Valentine’s Day.
Easy Ways to Love Yourself on Valentine’s day
Book a nail appointment: One of my favorite self care treatments is getting my nails done with Kham at Nail Yeah! It is such a welcoming and empowering environment, but I always come out with an amazing manicure, too!
Enjoy a relaxing bath: I very much enjoy a good bubble bath with a face mask and a body scrub. You can find some of my favorite products here.
Take a yoga class: Depending on what type of workout you are feeling, either a Yoga Sculpt class or a CoreRestore yoga class at CorePower.
Grab a cup of coffee and people watch: I very much enjoy people watching at one of my favorite coffee shops, so this is a great way to decompress. I also find this to be a fun way to pick up on a new style idea as well.
Read a book: I have really taken to reading in the evenings now instead of scrolling Instagram. This is one of my favorite ways to practice self care, so on Valentine’s Day, might I recommend a good love story. The Peachtree Bluff series is a good one!
Take yourself shopping: Buy that dress you’ve been eyeing, some new earrings, or a new lipstick as a Valentine’s gift to yourself.
Brain dump your ideas: When my brain is feeling overwhelmed or overloaded, I like to write in one of my notebooks to get some of my thoughts and ideas out. I also use it to capture goals or my skill set. This is a great way to practice self love and learn something about yourself.
Get a blow out: There is nothing better than a good blow out, especially when it includes a scalp massage. Check out the Dry Bar for an amazing experience!
Take a drive: One of my favorite ways to spend some alone time recharging is taking a quiet drive on a back road. I’ll definitely be taking the long way home after work on Friday to kick off my Valentine’s weekend.
Unplug: I have really been loving not having my phone on me at all times and I plan on taking some time to just enjoy some quiet time meditating and unwinding.
