Fearrington Village is one of my absolute favorite spots in North Carolina, a gem of an experience located about an hour from Raleigh in Pittsboro, NC. It is a lovely spot for a day trip or an overnight getaway. It is beautiful regardless of the season and the service is unmatched! Earlier this summer, I headed to Fearrington for a girls’ night with a couple of friends to relax, catch up, and hang out by the pool. Keep scrolling for some of the highlights of things to do for a girls’ night at Fearrington Village.

Things to Do in Fearrington Village for a Girls’ Night
Our Room Details at Fearrington House Inn
The Fearrington House Inn offers 4 different styles of rooms, and for our stay, we were in a superior suite that featured a king bed and a king pull-out bed in the living room. This particular room offers a great amount of space for getting ready, which is obviously important for a girls’ night. Because every inn room has a unique layout and design, some amenities may be specific to a room category and not universally available. If there is a specific preference, simply call Fearrington and they do their best to accommodate.
Regardless of the room you choose, room amenities include restorative Kingsdown pillowtop featherbeds, plush 300-thread count sateen Egyptian cotton bed linens, Boca Terry robes, iPod docking stations, and flat-screen televisions. Fresh flowers, many cuts from our own gardens, and a bowl of fresh apples await. All bathrooms feature heated towel racks, a personal favorite touch of mine.

Dining at the Fearrington House Restaurant
Dinner at the Fearrington House Restaurant Bar
Dining at the Fearrington House Restaurant is on my North Carolina Bucket List and their bar menu is out of this world delicious. We started with everything almonds and fried olives and of course, the savory cheese doughnuts. For our entrees, we ordered Scallop Toast with Oven-Dried Tomato, Grass-Fed Beef Burger with Everything Bun & Sharp Yellow Cheddar, and Parisian Gnocchi with Smoked Paprika Oil & Olive Tapenade. We finished dinner with the Beltie Sandwich with Shortbread.
For our drinks, we ordered the Late Bloomer, Feeling Less Blue, and Corpse Reviver No. 2.

Breakfast at the Fearrington House Restaurant
Included in an overnight stay at the Fearrington Inn is breakfast at the Fearrington House Restaurant. Breakfast service starts with coffee or tea, a smoothie, and pastries. We all split the Fearrington Breakfast Special, Blackberry Pancakes, and Oatmeal with fresh fruit.

Exploring the Property & Amenities in Fearrington Village
Visit the Shops

No trip to Fearrington Village is complete without a little shopping. McIntyre’s Books is one of my favorite locally-owned bookstores in the area. I snagged a pair of earrings at Dovecote and a couple of treats for Winston & Gizmo at Nest. I also grabbed some snacks and wine for our room and stopped by once more before heading out for some premade food from the Belted Goat for David and me.
Catch Live Music at Roost Beer Garden
Roost is located right in the heart of Fearrington Village and is open spring through fall. There is live music, delicious wood-fired pizza, and local beer and wine. Check out the live music schedule here.
Stroll the Gardens
After dinner, I always like to take a walk around the property to say hi to the Belties and through the gardens.

Enjoy a Picnic by the Pool
A new amenity for 2023 is the use of the Fearrington Village pool with the option to order a picnic from the Belted Goat. We ordered pimento cheese and crackers with sea salt and rosemary, deviled eggs, and Roasted Turkey Sandwich. We thoroughly enjoyed this option and relaxing by the pool with our new books from McIntyre’s.

Thank you to the Fearrington House Inn for hosting us for our girls’ night. Â As always, all opinions are my own.
I love going to Fearrington and The Goat! I haven’t stayed at the Inn but you are making me want to.
