One of my friends introduced me to Driftwood Southern Kitchen a few years ago.  The restaurant is about a 45 minute drive from our first house in Holly Springs, so we picked a day we didn’t have a lot going on to drive up to Lafayette Village for supper.  We had such a delightful dining experience thanks to the service, ambiance, and food options.
Driftwood Southern Kitchen Review:
I recently met Glory here to check out the recently updated menu and was once again impressed with the options and with the service Driftwood Southern Kitchen offers.
I am pretty particular about my pimento cheese, and the pimento cheese at Driftwood Southern Kitchen is some of the best in Raleigh. Â Bonus, dip the pork rinds that you get when you’re seated in for a truly Southern treat. Â Glory and I started with a glass of bubbly each, and then checked out the menu options.
Glory opted for the smoked & grilled baby back ribs that are served with house bbq sauce, cabbage slaw, and homemade chips. Â I went with the Maine lobster rolls with Duke’s mayo (because it’s the best, duh), lemon, lettuce, and homemade chips. Â Their lobster rolls are some of the best I’ve tasted and I’m a sucker for house made chips. Â I asked for a dipping sauce of ranch, and their dressing is an avocado ranch, which is delicious!

A new option on the menu is the impossible burger, which is a vegetarian option. Â On my next trip, I’ll definitely be giving that one a try.
For dessert, Glory and I picked Shayda’s macarons. The flavors are rotating, but you honestly can’t go wrong with these. Â They’re light and the perfect compliment to a filling dinner.

Be sure to check out Driftwood SouthernKitchen for a delicious dining experience in Lafayette Village!
