It’s hard to believe that we’ve been in our home now for almost 4 years! We have loved this space so much and are so grateful that we had this home as a safe space during the coronavirus lockdowns. One of the projects we started working on during our time at home was our living room (also our guest bathroom) and it’s finally coming together after 10 months of delays from our furniture delivery company for the sectional. Here is our blue and grey living room ideas that we came up with!r
Room Reveal: Blue and Gray Living Room Ideas
We opted for an open floor plan home, and we use this runner to separate the kitchen from the living room. We ordered this console table for behind the sectional. So far, I’ve used my dough bowl to style it with these gold candle stick holders with Capri Blue Volcano candle sticks, and a houseplant that I’ve had for a while. I am a big fan of cozy blankets, so I have this basket for some of my blankets that doubles as a style.
On our new sectional, I added these chenille pillows and these tassel pillows plus a soft Barefoot Dreams blanket & this woven blanket. We bought this old furniture cart on Craig’s List for a coffee table years ago and it has been one of my favorite pieces of furniture in our home. Here are some of my favorite coffee table books.Â
We’ve been adding Ruggable rugs to our home, which is super helpful with having two dogs, and this pattern and color combo is really lovely. We have this gold Target floor lamp for added light. David recently installed surround sound to pair with our FrameTV. Our mantle is also styled with mercury candlesticks (similar here) and these vases that I got from a favorite local, vintage Instagram account that holds Insta sales every Thursday evening. I’ve been a big fan of flameless candles, so we have 4 on a timer. And the 5 vase set on the mantle is old, and I recently added these faux hydrangea blooms.
The settee was up for grabs in my neighborhood, so I salvaged and had it rehabbed & reupholstered. This is a pretty settee that I had my eye on. David built the shelves and added the frames using ones that we had in storage from our old home’s gallery walls. This drink table is super convenient for the sectional and I love this larger side table for both the sectional & the settee. For my favorite stemware, check out this post.
We also added this hydrangea Rifle Paper Co wallpaper in the nook. I loved the pop of color and pattern. The piece of furniture there is an antique that I picked up from a shop in eastern North Carolina. The lantern is also old (similar here) and I styled it with a Pottery Barn pitcher.
A note:Â We did not have a great experience with our furniture company so while we are pleased with the final product (finally–after 10 months and 4 delivery attempts), I am going to link this article here for consideration before ordering a large furniture purchase from the company we used instead of linking the exact product that we ordered.
