It has been exciting to have seasonally appropriate weather in December to get in the holiday spirit. I traveled to Winston-Salem and Asheville hoping to see snow and cooler temperatures, and then it happened here earlier last week! On our travels, David and I have been sampling seasonal brews for the best holiday beers since our 12 best North Carolina Beers for Fall was a fun one to write! David and I have had such a great year of travel around North Carolina, and we are looking forward to exploring more places, with a new twist and direction on some of the work we’ve been doing. You’ll continue to see parts of North Carolina that may be a bit off the beaten path, like the Hen & the Hog in Halifax, but I’m hoping to merge some of my personal and professional interests and work into these types of experiences.
I will be sharing more winter favorites in the coming weeks and doing some end of year summaries on the work I’ve done here this year. Plus, there will be an opportunity for you to share what you’d like to see from I’m Fixin’ To for the coming year.
