Happy, Happy Friday, friends! This week was one with uncharacteristic winter weather, which was perfect for getting in the holiday spirit. David and I finally got to finish decorating our home for the holiday and were able to get presents wrapped plus projects completed. I cannot believe that this is the December 2018 Edition of Coffee Talk, but I am so excited for taking some time to reflect on how to improve IFT for 2019.

If you are looking for a fun weekend getaway to check out amazing holiday decorations and experiences, look no further than a trip to Winston-Salem. See more on how to plan the perfect weekend here.
Another new holiday tradition for David and me will be visiting Asheville. I loved having the signature hot chocolate while exploring the Grove Park Inn.
I am completely obsessed with these pieces for the holiday season. These shoes, the skirt, and these earrings are each under $40. Check out some of my other Amazon Fashion favorites here.
I was so proud to get our Christmas cards mailed without any error this year. Our cards this year were my absolute favorite from our 7 years together. It features one of our favorite photos from our trip to NYC back in the fall.
I love this picture of Brightleaf Square in Durham that I found on my phone. I plan on updating this post, but it’s still got some of my favorite places to see and do, just in time for the holiday.
My tall friend sent me a picture of a RBG themed tree she found in Chicago, so I ordered this white one to do the same thing in my home office.
Here are three ways to get your home holiday ready for guests, including Wente Vineyards. My friend Susie was the one who suggested providing wine in guest rooms after reading this post, and she is definitely right!
I am finally upgrading my phone and I am in dire need of this case. I am completely obsessed with Erisha’s artwork and really need one of everything that she makes.
Have you been to Junction West in the warehouse district of Raleigh yet? I am completely obsessed! You’ll be seeing a lot more of that space on IFT in the new year.
I officially finished up my second to last semester on Tuesday, and I have gotten quite a few comments from fellow ECU fans about these shoes. They’re made in Winston-Salem, comfy, and a great price for the quality. Use code FIXIN30 for 30% off your purchase through December 31. Check out the first time you’ve seen them here.
I hope you have a great holiday season! I am looking forward to the last week of events and fun, but also taking time to be present and spend time with family and friends. I hope you do the same. Life’s too short to be stressed out and overextended during a happy time of the year!
