Good morning! Setting the alarm last night for 5:15AM after sleeping in all week was definitely hard. But I’m excited to be back to the grind, because I’m 47 days away from the bachelorette, 81 days away from the wedding, and 82 days away from Mexico!
I wish I could say I had a glamarous spring break, but it was pretty adult filled. You know, planting things, cleaning things, addressing things, and planning things. We had planned to go to the beach, but I never really recooperated fully from being sick. It worked out perfectly because our next three weeks are really hectic, so it was nice to relax. Here’s the fun that we did have:
DG and I are running the Raleigh Rock and Roll half next weekend, so we went for an 8 mile run on the Tobacco Trail. DG told me if I ran 8 with him, he’d take me to Bull City Burger and Brewery before Opening Night, so I did it.
I don’t know why my pace shows up as 25:17, but whatevs.
I was really proud of that time because realistically, I haven’t done a long run aside from the St. Paddy’s 8K and 5 miles I ran last week. I was 6 seconds slower than when I was training a little more in the fall. So, I’ll take it.
I got the Joan Jett, which is their veggie burger and their dirty fries. DG got the over easy burger and dirty fries. It was everything I hoped it would be and more.
Opening night was gorgeous! The weather was perfect and DG and I had a great time.
Friday night, we went out for fro-yo. DG made fun of me for loading mine up with strawberries, kiwis, almonds, and coconut, so I threw some cookie dough bites and white chocolate chips in there. All of the warm weather has me really ready for fresh produce all the time.
I ran into Target to pick up some sunscreen and I came out with a bunch of crafting supplies. I love the One-Spot section so much.
And finally, DG and I went for our menu tasting for the wedding. I, of course, forgot my phone in the car and I forgot my camera at the house. So, I settled on a horrible selfie of my outfit after the fact. Maybe one day I’ll get the hang of outfit pictures!
How was your weekend? Hopefully more exciting than mine!
Sounds like a pretty perfect weekend – Target finds are always the best – I want to buy all the stuff and then am never sure what I'll do with it haha!! That burger looks amazing!!
Looks like a great weekend! Great job on your run! Those sweet potato fries and froyo look delish!
I love that idea about running together and then getting those amazing burgers! Those dollar bins at Target get me every time!
YAY for menu tasting!! I hope today wasn't too bad for a first day back!

Not so bad when paired with a peeps donut and extra coffee! 🙂
The one-spot section at Target is so dangerous for me… so much good stuff, and hey, it's only $1
your frozen yogurt looks entirely WAY too healthy, just sayin' 😉
That burger you had looks amazing! I haven't had fro yo in months this post is making me crave it!
I love the Target dollar spot, do you have crafting plans yet?
I'm going to use a lot of the twine and the mini clips for wedding gifts for my bridal party! The others were stickers, so just to have! xo
