Hello! I am really excited to recap my weekend with you today. My future in-laws flew in on Thursday so that DG’s mom could attend my bridal shower in my home town.
My bridal shower was at 11:00AM and my sweet hostesses made the best brunch foods.
As I mentioned on Wednesday, I was incredibly nervous. I actually hate opening gifts in front of people because I am self concious about how I appear. Do I appear appreciative? Fake? What? So, I was really nervous.
Some of my buddies came from Wake County and I was so happy to have them there!
Lindsey is my matron of honor and one of my hostesses for the shower. I’ve known her literally since I was born. The fact that we’ve been friends for over 27 years is shocking to me because she’s tolerated a lot over the years! I love this picture because of our facial expressions.
My friend Clarke definitely reads my blog because she got me the Pearls & Pastries hangers I’ve been lusting over for my rehearsal dinner dress & my wedding dress!
One of my dearest friends Mary & her sweet mom got me this adorable glass piece from Buffalo. As I’ve mentioned before, DG is originally from Buffalo and so he instantly recognized the brand of glass and the piece itself. I love this sweet, thoughtful piece.
I was so excited my grandmother could make it. She is one of the sassiest women I’ve ever met and is absolutely hysterical.

I was overwhelmed with love and support. Some of my teachers from middle school and high school attended and I was so excited to see some of ladies I haven’t seen in a while. I had a great time and cannot express my gratitude.
My parents drove up to Raleigh and we had dinner at Beasley’s with David’s parents. My cousin Parker dropped by too.
So, I spent all day Sunday writing thank you notes, catching up on a little work, and napping. I was exhausted from the weekend.
