I bought this curling wand to try something different with my hair. I’ve never been super talented at doing my own hair so I’m excited to try it.
I hate double standards. I’m in a situation in my life where there are certain expectations of me, but those are not to be expected in return. From as early as I can remember, I always got upset about things not be fair. My dad used to tell me life wasn’t fair and I couldn’t get so emotionally attached. At 27, I’m still struggling with this.
When I get stressed out, I spend money.
I definitely have a Type A personality, so I have 3 planners with a different type of pen set that I use with each planner. I have an Erin Condren Life planner, a May Designs planner, and then an academic planner from May Designs. I keep the Life Planner in my work bag, the May book in my purse, and my academic planner in my work bag too.
I love receiving snail mail but I am the worst at mailing cards on time.
I’m a creature of habit. When I go eat somewhere that I had a great experience, I generally won’t try anything new because I don’t want to be disappointed. A lot of our favorite restaurants, the people already know our order, because DG is the same way.
At what point do people stop being gracious? Saying thank you to someone taking time to do something thoughtful isn’t complicated, but is a complete game changer.

I have the Bombshell wand and you are going to LOVE it! It definitely takes some practice… my hair looked all sorts of strange the first few times I used it, haha! And love that you're a planner girl, too… I would be lost without mine!
It's like you just crawled inside my head and wrote down everything I've been struggling with for the last few weeks. When our lives finally give us the chance, we're going to have the best friend date ever and become besties. I think it's meant to be. Thinking of you and hope this week is good for you <3
Let me know what you think of that curling wand!! I've never been good at doing my own hair either and I have a tapered curling wand but I am not a fan. And I totally struggle with things being fair too. I don't know if that ever goes away…

I can so give you some amens today! I hope you are doing well and I look forward to hearing about your new endeavor this winter. I also spend $ when I'm stressed or down in the dumps but I try (really hard) to keep it to a minimal. I don't know why ppl aren't gracious but I see in the school system how that is no longer being instilled in children and I can only think somewhere our generation began faltering on understanding that we aren't owed anything and we should be thankful and gracious for everything. I cannot believe food doesn't magically appear….geez! Hugs!
Girl you are doing so much!!! Way to go!!! As a side note – those are my favorite pens and all I use at work LOL!
I agree with everything in this post. It drives me batty when people cannot say thank you. I kinda feel like manners have been thrown out the window. I simple thank you goes long way. Thank you for this post!!
3 planners?!?!? Girl, I have a hard time using one! They are good for blog planning though, but everything else I tend to put in my phone. And I'm sure you'll love the curling wand, that's the only thing that gets my hair super curly 🙂 Have a great Humpday!
Amen to people not being gracious enough! And a big cheers to type A-ers 😉
Couldn't agree more on people tearing people down. Sometimes I see things online, comments made, and my mind is blown. Who cares if you don't agree on something, respect others opinion or just don't say anything. It's just crazy. I do the same when I find things I like at restaurants. I've tried new things and been disappointed one too many times 😉
I spent money too when I'm stressed.
Not to add to your pile, but I use the My Agenda planner – it really is the best of them all – I've tried them all.
Can't wait to see how the curling wand turns out. I've thought about trying a wand, but haven't followed through yet…
Way to organize girl!! Your blog looks great!
They do magically think the house is cleaned by fairies and not someone who is working like 3 jobs and still works out and makes dinner…..I've heard a maid is a great thing for a marriage…..I think in a few months I will tend to agree! I'm with you girl! I'm all about bringing each other up especially us females we have to stick together!
I have three planners as well!! Love this post. Hoping to get back into blogging!
