I had a really great time this weekend, but it went by so fast [again].
Friday, I got my hair done in Raleigh and then met my cousin Parker for a beer at Boylan Bridge.
It was a perfect night in Raleigh and the brewpub has a gorgeous view of the capital.
I came home to find this RSVP from my daddy, which made me laugh out loud.
DG and I had our traditional date night. I’m not sure if I’ve ever mentioned, but DG and I make a point to have date night every Friday. It’s our time to unwind, no phones, and catch up. We’ve done it since we first started dating, and I’m happjy that it has continued.
We went to Tribeca Tavern. I got a fried green tomato BLT with macaroni and cheese and a peach beer. That’s right… peach beer. And it was DELISH. DG got chicken tenders and macaroni and cheese. The good news is he didn’t get French fries–which when I met him was his favorite meal.
Saturday night, I went out for my tall friend’s birthday in Raleigh and it was SO much fun.
And yesterday, I worked. That’s right. I thought Mother’s Day was this weekend coming up and I scheduled my bridal portraits for this coming weekend. So, Friday… on all the blogs I saw it was Mother’s Day and I had to call my mom and confess that I am a moron. Thankfully she thought it was funny and kept saying “I was wondering why you kept saying Mother’s Day was the 18th.” But anyway, I’ll be celebrating Mother’s Day this coming weekend.
Sounds like a wonderful weekend. I spend mine with my lovely girls.
So sweet that y'all have date nights every week. I need to be better about making it a priority 🙁 it's so easy to let it slip away. Btw, I am SO HAPPY we have reconnected. I will never forget our dinner freshman year and how I was basically you for 2 years of college 😉 xoxoxox

LOVE date night — keep it up, it's so important!
That date night food looks yummy – I can never resist a good mac and cheese! Glad it was such a fun weekend 🙂
Well I'm sure your momma forgave you since you're brain is on other things at the moment!! Love your dad's reply to the RSVP!! Sounds like the perfect weekend and hope you share those bridal portraits (after the fact obviously!!)
Love that you have a date night every Friday! A perfect way to "schedule" some time together 🙂
I have yet to go to Tribeca, but it looks so good! And I love Boylan Bridge — the food is great and so is the view! xo
