In my personal opinion, weekends always move by too quickly, but this week was even more so that way. I had a lot going on but was so excited to spend some quality time with friends! Before I left school, I got paged to the front office. A parent left me these gorgeous strawberries! This week is teacher appreciation week, so happy teacher appreciation to me!
I picked up this little beauty while visiting my friend Amy at Vestique! I really cannot get enough of romper right now.
After work on Friday, I went and grabbed a drink and a snack with some of my coworkers! I really love afternoons where I can just unwind and catch up. And yes I did order and eat that entire plate of cheese fries by myself. It’s not like I’m getting married in less than two months or anything.
I came home to two interesting pieces of mail. The first are the two new May Books I ordered. One is a baby diary for my friend Hillary. The other is a notebook for me to keep on hand instead of using a gazillion post-it notes.
The second was our first RSVP card from my BFF, Amanda. I cried like a baby because I am so excited! Also, Amanda has busted her behind for me (and DG) to make sure that our day is perfect. I cannot wait to see everything she has planned for the bachelorette! Also, she requested my all time favorite song, which by the way, I have been known to do the running man to by myself. SO, there’s that.
I also got three adorable pieces monogrammed for the wedding. I took them to Pink Alli in Cary, and y’all they are so good. I’ve taken a ton of monogramming to them before and it never ceases to amaze me at how quickly they get things done.
DG and I went out to dinner for our first date night in a while. We went to one of local favorites, Aviator. We tried these pimiento mac and cheese bites and they were delish! I forgot to take a picture of our actual supper though, because the person delivering our food accidentally spilled my beer all over DG, me, and our food. Soooo, I kinda forgot.
Saturday, I worked in the morning and early afternoon. Then, I went and met Clarke at Cantina 18 for an early birthday/Cinco de Mayo celebration.
We both ordered margaritas and quesadillas. I tried to be artsy with my lighting, and I clearly failed. After lunch, we went shopping around Cameron Village. It was so much fun to have some girl time!
DG and I went and met some friends at a local brewery for a drink after dinner.
Sunday, I woke up early to hang out with Winston. He was so thrilled to have me wake him up to go for a walk.
I spent the rest of the day crafting, grocery shopping, cleaning, organizing, and exercising. I was really pleased with my productivity yesterday because I have an insane week coming up. I can’t quite seem to get caught up, much less ahead these days.

Love, love!! Getting the RSVP cards in the mail was one of my favorite parts to the wedding. Some people wrote sweet notes and now I never let a RSVP leave without a note of excitement!
