Weekending: The Last One Before Year 7

Good morning, friends!  Today marks the beginning of year 7 in public education.  I can’t believe I’m on this side of 10 years.  Crazy!  This weekend, DG was out of town and I stayed home to deal with some items on our to-do list for the master bathroom.  I can’t wait to share the finished product with you!  We’re really excited about how it’s turning out.  Here’s a sneak peek though.

I wish I had some great images to share with you, but Friday night, I went to barre and then came home and started working on my to-do list that kept having items added to it.  I also woke up before 6:00AM because our smoke detector battery was dying.  Let me tell you, if you want to send Winston into doggie anxiety, let that happen.  He never fully recooperated Saturday, so I changed all the batteries to be safe.  I also had to make a return with some hardware I was trying out for our cabinets, so I swung by a local brewery to pick up a lobster roll (and lobster bisque) from Cousins Maine Lobster food truck for dinner since I was by myself.  I mean, why not, right?

I also cleaned up around our home office space, and painted a few pieces of furniture.  Only one was a new job; the other pieces needed touching up.  I feel like I purge once a month and somehow acquire more stuff than the prior purge.  Anyone else?

And bless the grocery stores who let me order my groceries and pick them up.  I swear it makes my weekends so much more enjoyable.  On Sunday, I made time for barre and for brunch with my girl, ECW.  But then it was back for more work around the house.  Having a clean house is the best start to the year I’ve found.
