Hi y’all! Welcome to June! I hope your year has been going well so far. I took some time this weekend to check in with my goals and intentions to make sure I was on track. I’m so excited to be sharing my May 2019 Instagram Roundup. Thanks for following along for another month!

This Rupi Kaur poem is one of my favorites and I found it especially fitting for May with Mother’s Day and my recent graduation.
This maxi dress from J. Crew is one of my favorites for the season.
If you visit (or are local!) to Raleigh, you have to try Plates Neighborhood Kitchen! Their brunch is absolutely delicious!
David and I went to Kinston to celebrate some recent good news at Chef & the Farmer. I loved wearing this dress (under $50!) paired with my favorite summer sandals and tote.
Loving these Rothy sneakers for spring and summer. I’ve been traveling a bit more than normal and these have been perfect. for walking around cities and making my way through airports. Get $20 off Rothy’s here and I’ll get $20 off, too.

I am loving the high waisted bathing suit trend this summer, so this striped two piece and this ric-rac top and high waisted bottom went with me to St. Augustine. I also picked up this striped one piece from Amazon earlier in the spring. Check out my other favorites here.
One of my favorite parts of having our front porch finished is that David and I catch up on our day while sitting on our porch swing with the boys. I’m so glad we finally got this cushion made because we are getting plenty of use out of it.

I went for a quick trip to Chicago to visit my friend Kayd for her 30th birthday. We had a great time exploring the city and catching up. Check out what we did here and my favorite graphic tees for spring here.

Junction West is another favorite patio in Raleigh. See interior shots here.
Who else relates to this?
I finished the Peachtree Bluff series while in St. Augustine (while wearing this top and bottom). If you haven’t read Kristy’s books, I cannot recommend them enough. Find them here: Slightly South of Simple | The Secret to Southern Charm | The Southern Side of Paradise
I love spending a day at the Umstead Spa so I can use their gorgeous pool facility. My poolside drink of choice is lemonade mixed with soda water finished with a cucumber. What’s yours?
We kicked off our long weekend in St. Augustine with dinner at Harry’s and I was (and still am) swooning over this patio area.
I picked up this tank from J. Crew for summer. It’s got an open back that ties at the bottom, so it’s a fun twist on a traditional look.

I get even more of an itch to travel in the summer, so I rounded up my favorite hotels in North Carolina here. Are any of your favorites on the list? Where is another place we should experience?
One of my favorite things is to try twists on classic food options, so these lobster deviled eggs from the VIG in Chicago were a hit!
