Y’all, cue all the happy emojis right now. I finally got an entire weekend where I had no obligations other than things I wanted to do. Seriously. I am over the moon excited if you can’t tell.
I’m going to start my weekend on Thursday since it was the first day I had off in 7 consecutive days.
DG and I woke up and decided to head to the Eno River, which was on my summer bucket list. It was supposed to storm that afternoon, so we were trying to beat that. It turned out to be a beautiful day, and we had the best time. The boys loved it, especially Winston once we let him get in! I had dinner Thursday night with Angela, but per usual, we didn’t have any pictures because we were too busy gabbing!
Friday, I headed back east to visit with my folks and to pick up a few things from a vintage shop. I had a great time visting with my parents and their little pup, Ellie Mae. She is the cutest and so sassy. I also was pumped to get a cheddar bo biscuit from Bojangles. I’m not sure why, but Bojangles doesn’t taste as good in Wake County as it does back east.
Saturday, I got up early to meet Em for a new series of outfit pictures. I can’t wait to share my transition looks with y’all. Even better is that I shopped my closet for the majority of the outfits, thanks to a pact I made with Marie to not shop for August!
Then, I met two of my girlfriends at Crabtree for a little lunch. I’m helping Hillary plan her son’s first birthday party next weekend so I handed off some of my decorations. I am SO excited to share with you next week all the little details.
I wrapped Saturday up at my friend Morgan’s baby shower! I was so excited to help shower her for her daughter’s arrival in September!
Sunday, I headed to barre class. It’s been a hot minute since I went and I was so out of shape, but it felt so great to get back into it! I’m back to scheduling my work outs like appointments because it always makes me more likely to go.

My weekend looked similar! I went east to see my parents and their boxer (Ellie Mae is adorable) and got a cheddar bo while I was there. I totally agree with the Bojangles comment, it does taste different here!
Yayyy for a weekend totally to yourself and getting back into Barre class! Looking forward to your new outfit shoots, and loving that you shopped your closet for the inspiration. I definitely need to do the same 🙂
