I used to work close to Dorcas, and it quickly became my go-to Friday afternoon adventure. Their ever-changing selection includes furniture, home decor, collectibles, and specialty items at fantastic prices. You can even browse their online shop and reserve items for in-store pickup.

Copper Mill Mercantile – Kinston
Located in downtown Kinston, this curated antique and vintage shop offers a warm blend of Southern charm and timeless pieces. From reclaimed wood furniture and vintage lighting to home goods and locally made gifts, Copper Mill Mercantile is a must-stop for anyone exploring eastern North Carolina.

Hammond Antiques – Burnsville
David and I popped into Hammond Antiques last fall when we visited Burnsville and loved browsing all three floors. We came home with a few new pieces for the house, and the prices were surprisingly affordable for the quality.

Honed Home at Heights House Hotel – Raleigh
Tucked inside the boutique Heights House Hotel in downtown Raleigh, Honed Home is a stunning blend of old and new. The shop offers a thoughtful mix of vintage furniture, antique art, and timeless home goods. Whether you are drawn to mid-century lines or European-inspired patina, Honed Home is full of pieces that feel collected, not decorated. Stop by and grab a drink at Heights House Parlor because the shop is as inspiring as it is shoppable.

KnB’s Marketplace – Fuquay-Varina
My go-to local spot for vintage hunting is KnB’s Marketplace. I stop by at least once a week to check out new booths and have found several favorite pieces here. The owners and curators are truly some of the kindest people, which makes every visit feel special.

Mayberry Antique Mall – Mount Airy
Plan to spend a few hours here because there is a lot to take in. I came away with gorgeous blue-and-white pieces for our home, and Glory started her vintage camera collection here! Prices are great, and the variety is unmatched. See more to do in Mount Airy here and Surry County here.

Morgan’s on Main – Benson
Morgan’s on Main blends vintage, antique, and handmade goods in a beautifully curated space on Benson’s Main Street. You will find furniture, collectibles, and creative local pieces, all displayed with care and charm. It is worth the drive and easy to spend an hour or two exploring every booth.

Mount Pilot Antiques – Pilot Mountain
If you are planning a trip to Surry County (which you absolutely should!), do not miss Mount Pilot Antiques. Glory and I adored this shop on Pilot Mountain’s Main Street—it is full of treasures and surrounded by great local shops and a social district that is perfect for post-shopping drinks.

Old Hardware Vintage Depot – Cameron

I have always heard the thrifting and antiquing in Moore County is exceptional—and Old Hardware Vintage Depot proved it true. Located in a beautiful old building downtown, it is packed with booths filled with furniture, art, books, and decorative treasures. I still regret passing on a set of antique Abraham Lincoln bookends!

Riverside Mill – Weldon

Once a working, water-driven cotton mill, Riverside Mill now houses an antique mall, artisan gallery, and outlet shops along the Roanoke River. It is an enormous space with everything from fine furniture to designer fashion. Since it is in my home county of Halifax, I always make a point to stop by when I am nearby.

Scrap Exchange – Durham

The Scrap Exchange has been a Durham favorite since 1991. It is a nonprofit creative reuse center with an ever-changing inventory of donated materials—perfect for DIY projects, art, or repurposed decor. There is also a gallery and marketplace highlighting local artists and makers, so there is always something new to discover.

Snob Shop – Winston-Salem

A woman-owned consignment store in Winston-Salem since 1974, the Snob Shop offers high-end clothing, furniture, and home decor. Make plans to grab a meal at Mozelle’s after. Their tomato pie is my absolute favorite.

Union Camp Collective – Raleigh

This Carthage gem in Moore County is known for its “name your price” model—bargaining is encouraged! Glory scored two vintage cameras, a Steelers jacket, and a few home finds for an incredible deal. You could easily spend hours here treasure hunting.

Located right off US-70 in Goldsboro, Vintage Collectibles & More is a hidden gem offering antique furniture, retro signage, vintage records, and memorabilia. It is a true reflection of the local community, with friendly vendors and fair prices.
