If there is one thing I love, it’s talking about voting and civic engagement, and to be honest, my fashion advocacy knows no bounds when it comes to this topic. My top selling items on my affiliate platforms are my civic engagement items, so I decided to pull together a post of some of my favorite “Vote” inspired fashion and home items. To be honest, this has been one of my favorite posts to write and I’m hopeful that we’ll see a great turn out of voters this year. While presidential elections are important, don’t forget your down ballot elections either. Those usually have the most direct impact on your daily life. Be sure to scroll to the end for information on voting in North Carolina, as well! Here are some of my favorite civic engagement favorites just in time for election season!
- Etsy VOTE Necklace: After seeing this necklace on Michelle Obama, I went to Etsy and ordered a custom letter necklace. I love it and love pairing it with my Hart Studio necklace. I use this to keep them from getting tangled.
- Madewell Vote T-Shirt: I absolutely adore this Madewell Vote tee and all proceeds go to ACLU.
- Etsy Vote T-Shirt: This has been my go-to t-shirt for voting over the last couple of years. It includes the word “women” in over 100 languages to spell out “Vote.”
- Draper James Vote Y’all Tote: In the last presidential election cycle, I snagged this tote and it has been one of my favorite to carry meetings materials and my yoga gear. While my tote is a big different of a design, the message still rings true!
- Register to Vote Sweatshirt: I love What a Raging Stitch and this Register to Vote sweatshirt is perfect for the season.
- Nasty Women Unite Tee: Sophie & Lili is one of my new favorite accounts and her Nasty Women Unite shirt is a crowd favorite.
- Vote Mask: Mask up and share an important civic message.
- Vote Bracelet: I am loving the custom bracelet trend and this vote one is so cute!
- Votes for Women Coffee Mug: This mug is my new go-to mug for working from home.
- Votes for Women Pennant: I mean, duh. I am hanging this above my desk in my home office.
And, if you’re really feeling inspired, take a picture of this manicure to your local nail technician, and have them make you a custom Vote nail. My girl, Khameo, did an outstanding job on my Vote and RBG nails! I’ve also added a few other favorite tees to my “shop the post” links below.

How to Vote in North Carolina
If you’re in North Carolina, you can register to vote by 5:00PM on October 9, 2020. That means your application needs to either be hand delivered to your local Board of Elections or postmarked by that time. If you miss that cut-off, you can still register and vote on the same day during the early voting period of October 15-31, 2020. And if you want a ballot by mail, you can request that up to October 27 and either mail back in, hand deliver to your local Board of Elections or to a polling place. North Carolina starts counting ballots two weeks prior to the election, so go ahead and get your vote in early!
