With the start of the new year, I have been intentional about making sure to take time to spend at home. Weeks are packed with work obligations, grad school classes, and the occasion time with friends. Â It has become increasingly important to David and me to find time to spend time together at home to catch up, relax, and snuggle our boys. Â We try to have at least one night every couple of weeks where we spend the night in to do just that. Â It has been a nice change of pace to be at home and spend an evening relaxing together. Â Here are our tips on how to plan the ultimate night in.

Bring on the Snacks
David and I look forward to having POP SECRET® Movie Theatre Butter Popcorn, even if we aren’t watching a movie.  It pairs nicely with our favorite beverages and is one of our favorite treats for these types of nights in.
Change into Cozy Clothing
Comfy, cozy clothing is a must for this evening. Â We both have our favorite pairs of sweatpants and softest tees that we look forward to wearing on the weekends. Â This Amazon fashion top and these J. Jill leggings are some of my favorite for cozying up.
Pour the Drinks
Depending on the occasion, we may choose hot chocolate or we may choose wine or an IPA.  Either way, these all pair well with our POP SECRET® popcorn choice!
Use Your Favorite Pampering Products
David and I both love using face masks. Â David’s favorite is this Kiehl’s and I generally reach for a sheet mask, and recently I’ve been loving this one. Â It’s the perfect way to relax after a long week.
Light the Candles
Y’all know I love candles, so one of the first things I generally do when I get home is light candles around our home. Â It makes our home feel cozier, and I like to match our scents to the season. Â This is the scent we’re currently burning.
Pick Your Show
I won’t lie, but I usually struggle staying awake during movies. Â If I sit still for too long, I either have to get up and start moving around or I fall asleep. Â But catching up on Hulu & Netflix is always a good option for us on nights in. Â Recently, I’ve watched the RBG documentary, Fyre Fraud, and Last Chance U and would highly recommend.
Bring Out the Plush Blankets & Pillows
I have a thing for throw pillows and fuzzy blankets, so I love pulling out my favorite ones for our nights in. Â We’re hopeful to get a new couch this year where we’ll have more room, and I look forward to these nights even more once that happens!
