After three years in our home, we are finally making some updates in our living room area. Our ranch has an open floor plan between our dining room, living room, and kitchen, and when we initially purchased the house, really wanted a sectional for the space. As I have mentioned in previous posts, we are big on creating inspiration boards to collect our ideas. You can see our living room inspiration board as for our master bedroom, home office, and guest bathroom boards all linked.
We really want to play up the natural light that comes through our three windows and fill in some of the somewhat awkward, empty wall space. We have ordered a gray sectional, which has partially arrived, but we are still waiting on the other half to arrive. Read more about it here. With all that said, we have some time before it arrives, which gives us time to refine our inspiration board. Living Room Inspiration

I shared in my stories week that I don’t love having a television in our living room, and especially one as a focal point over our mantel. I received a few messages from followers sharing about frame TVs and one person sent me Erin‘s account as an inspiration and omg am I obsessed. Her space and style are gorgeous, and I really love the concept of a frame TV.

This space is one of the reasons we opted for the style of section we did. I love the styling, natural light, and the addition of the brown chair, too!

I am a big fan of mixing metals and pairing grays and tans together. With that in mind, I fell in love with this gray sofa and brown chairs.
I love all the greenery in this space! As a self-proclaimed plant lady, this is a goal!
I love the styling the coffee table, the pillows and blanket + the background decor.
