A Personal Stylist Session at Anthropologie

Good morning, friends! I hope those of you affected by Hurricane Matthew are finding some relief this morning. We went without power all day Saturday. Thankfully, DG and I were able to get out and get to places for food (and ironically new lamps, despite no power), but we are saddened by some of the devastation in our county. We are out of school today due to flooding and power outages. Our hearts and prayers go out to those affected.

Today, I’m sharing my favorite experience this fall. Every change of season, I reach out to Morgan at Anthro Durham for a personal stylist session. She asks what I’m interested in styling, and then picks out the best pieces!

I love this experience because Morgan has the outfits already pulled, and she always picks pieces I’ll be comfortable with, but also mixes in ones that push my boundaries. For example, I don’t usually wear yellow, but I loved this vintage yellow sweater so much, it ended up coming home with me! She also always includes prosecco, which means she’s a girl after my heart.

For this experience, Morgan picked 3 full outfits, but we switched up some of the accessories through trial and error.

And here, we switched up the jeans I was wearing. I haven’t worn light colored jeans since I was in college (uh… 8 years ago). Morgan always goes above and beyond showing me how I can style my outfits multiple ways.

My hands down favorite outfit is this silver and gold look. I really love tweed for fall, and this updated version of a jacket would be perfect for work and date night. And this fun gold cami would work under my faux leather jacket I’ll be styling later this season. The faux leather leggings are amazingly comfortable. I loved the updated seams on this pair.

And Morgan totally pushed me out of my comfort zone with this outfit, I don’t think layering is one of my stronger points, but I loved this funky t-shirt hem with the suede vest and skirt. This look would be perfect with over the knee brown suede boots.

And then we tried on some accessories. I don’t usually wear hats, but Morgan & Glory convinced me to try on two, and I’ll tell ya, I didn’t hate them!

It was a great stylist session with Morgan! I always love meeting with her and seeing what new styles Anthropologie has. I highly recommend checking out your local Anthro for their personal stylist offerings. If you’re in the Durham area, totally check Morgan out. You’ll feel like old friends within about 5 minutes of being in her presence!

Oh I’m so glad you had a good time! Morgan is the best!
I worked at that store for two years, so this post definitely brought back some fun memories.
