I look forward to sitting down in December and really reflecting on my vision for the next year both personally, professionally, and here on I’m Fixin’ To. For my content I create for this space, I typically map out a general plan for each month with topics I’d like to cover, the types of photos I want captured, and any opportunities to collaborate with brands, local businesses, and/or other writers. One of my proudest moments is watching how my goal of creating more travel content about North Carolina has been reflected since I started writing these posts in 2017. Popular Outfits from 2018
It was in this post that I confessed that I’m not *actually* a fashion blogger. However, I was rather shocked to see that this post was the second most popular posts of 2019. I consider my style to be casual and definitely not trendy, but there are times where I like to glam it up. I think this post does a good job of capturing my varying style. P.S. almost all styles are still available online.

Wilmington is one of the best places for us to take a day trip from our home. We also made two overnight stays to Wilmington this year, including our stay here, and one in the fall. I think the fall trip was my favorite since it was in the 80s and a perfect beach weekend.

I was more than pleasantly surprised with the wineries in western North Carolina on my birthday trip last year. What a wonderful piece of the state’s agriculture! The Ultimate Guide to the Best of Raleigh
One of my most popular posts of all time is this one about how to see Raleigh in 36 hours, seen here. It’s amazing to see the transformation that Raleigh has gone through in the 10 years I’ve lived here. It makes me proud to call Raleigh home and I love the small town feel in a big city!
Eastern North Carolina Favorite: Between Water and Main Bed & Breakfast
David and I had an early ferry to Ocracoke this summer, so we decided to head down a night early and check out Belhaven. I’ve never been to experience the town, so we finally got to eat at Spoon River and stay at the beautiful Between Water & Main Bed and Breakfast. Kasey and Molly are fabulous hosts and I cannot recommend a stay here enough!
