Last week, David and I ventured back to Ocracoke Island after a hiatus and we are so ready to go back again already. Â There is just something about that quaint little fishing town that makes us keep wanting to go back and have a break for reality. Â I opted to make this a low-key trip without spending a lot of time taking photos because it makes it hard for me to relax. Â But, I did capture some images that I decided to share on our getaway to Ocracoke this year.
This view of Silver Lake never gets old and this Pinot Grigio was convenient for being out on the dock.
David was very excited to get back and fish, and this little dude was the first one he caught on his first cast. Â Don’t worry, we tossed him back safe & sound.
One of my favorite views is from the Jolly Roger pier.
There is nothing I love more than a fresh fried shrimp burger, like this one from Jolly Roger Pub.
Evening walk through town with ice cream from The Slushy Stand.
I literally read this book in one day and it was a great read. Â I definitely recommend.
We went out for a date night and I always love starting at Zillie’s for happy hour.
Stop number 2 was for dinner at The Back Porch. Â It’s one of my favorite restaurants in North Carolina.
Last day on the beach.

1718 Brewery opened on Ocracoke and their Notorious Fig is a delicious fig wheat beer.
This is my favorite view from the ferry, I just hate that it’s when we’re leaving. Â We left with a storm brewing right over the sound.
