Progress on Our Master Bedroom

A few months ago, I shared our master bedroom inspiration, and it took a bit longer than I thought it would to get our bedroom somewhat in order. I am excited to share the progress on our master bedroom, including our thoughts on our new mattress. We are thrilled with the outcome so far!

I have been a fan of all white bedding for quite a while. I find it easy to care for and I like to change up the textures of it. This Pottery Barn blanket is really well loved, and I plan on picking up another one or two for our guest room and living room for fall. This quilt has been a great weight for summer, but I keep our duvet nearby in case we get chilly at night. I like to keep our house around 70 degrees at night.

This Rifle Paper Co. fabric is in our mudroom and our guest bedrooms, and I wanted to continue to tie it into our master bedroom. I had a stool recovered last year in the fabric and I used the remaining fabric for these pillows. I’ve since added this pillow (and these to our guest bedrooms) for a bit more texture as well. I snagged the Euro pillows from Target and the pillow covers from Wayfair.

We upgraded our mattress from a queen to a king recently, and we decided to try a Casper mattress. We ordered the bed frame, foundation, and The Casper king size mattress. David and I easily assembled our bed frame, which also attached easily to our new headboard, and together we built the foundation. It was all solid and ready for the mattress, which David was able to take care of without my help. It was an easy process, and we have been thrilled with how well we are sleeping. We also ordered Casper king size pillows and we have both been pleased with them. If you have been considering a Casper mattress, remember you get a 100 day trial! We cannot rave about ours enough.

I also love to finish our rooms with a house plant (favorites here) and a good candle. This Simply Curated Peony and Sea Salt has a really beautiful fragrance, but it also has a wood wick, which is a nice touch. Plus the packaging is so elegant. It makes a great housewarming gift!
