Good morning, friends! Hope you had a great weekend. I’m really excited to recap this weekend with you!
When I got off work on Friday, I headed over to Parlor Dry Bar in Cameron Village. I was pumped to see their new location and it didn’t disappoint! Raleigh girls, go make an appointment now!
I got home and got ready for DG and I to head to Angus Barn. It’s definitely a Raleigh staple, but neither of us had been. It lived up to the hype and the ambiance was great.
Their wedge salad was out of this world good.
We both ordered pesto chicken with garlic mashed potatoes.
Saturday, I woke up and went to Pure Barre. I don’t even know who I am anymore. I also went to Trader Joe’s and picked up some things for Saturday night. I also went and got a pedicure, which was the worst one I’ve ever received. I was going to get a manicure too, but after the awful pedicure, I just decided to leave. Ever had a horrible pedicure? What’d you do? I don’t know what proper protocol is, but girlfriend definitely cut me in multiple places.
For DG’s birthday, I surprised him with friends on the Raleigh Trolley Pub. It was insanely fun! If you live in a city with one, go do it. Like, this weekend. It’s BYOB and you can bring your own snacks. It also stops at 2-3 bars in downtown Raleigh. We chose to stop at 2 because it was so nice out. So we got to ride around Moore Square and take a picture with the acorn.
After that, we went to Raleigh Times and met up with some more friends for cake. I was so excited that DG had a great time, but also our friends did too. It was a great day!
My mom and dad came too! It was great to see them.
There was also this little football game on TV between Carolina and East Carolina. That game ended with a 70-41 victory for my alum and the first top 25 ranking in polls since 2008 (the year I graduated college). I must say… I’m proud.
Sunday, DG and I went and got lunch at a local bagel spot with Winston. Winston had the best time until he was approached by 4 small children, which caused him to attempt to hide under the table.
After lunch, I headed to Roanoke Rapids to celebrate the life of my dear friend’s father. It was an emotionally difficult day for my parents and me. But it was a great celebration of JK’s life and his awesome personality. Please continue to keep Lindsey and her family in your thoughts and prayers. I appreciate all of your support from Friday.
Now it’s your turn. Tell Biana and me about your weekend! Don’t forget to link back to both of our blogs and use our button!
Absolutely perfect weekend and I love all your outfits!! Sorry to hear about the terrible pedi experience – I would have paid but left a not so great tip!! Of course I'm drooling over all your food and it's not even 7:00 AM lol!! Have a great day!!
Wait. WAIT!! Bagels plus serves FRENCH FRIES!?!?! Oh, hell. My mouth is watering and it's only 7:55 AM. ha! I'm so glad you had such a lovely weekend AND that you were able to be there for your friend.
I had the same pedicure experience around a month ago – the lady had me in tears. I felt like my toe might fall off. Luckily it didn't and they gave me the pedicure half price (should have been free). Glad other than that you had a great weekend!
P.S. I wish I was eating that bagel right now.
Sounds like a great, pampered weekend! Good for you! Love your outfits!
What a fun weekend! That trolley pub looks like a blast, I'm not sure that we have one around here but I will definitely look into it. I've never had a pedicure that bad btu I'd be so disappointed because they are supposed to be super relaxing and that definitely wasn't!
small children coming up to me freak me out too 🙂 (kidding… kinda) 😉
Sounds like it was a great weekend. Nothing worse than a bad pedicure. Great outfits. Love your style.
Sounds like a fun weekend and fun bday celebration!!!! I'm hungry now after all of the food shots! Yum!

What a fun weekend and girl you looked gorgeous! What a fun weekend. Pixie would hide under the table too if approached by 4 kids, or eat their hand? Not sure…
ok 1. happy birthday to your sweet hubby!
2. i love trolley crawlers! those things are so fun! i thought about doing this for lee's birthday, but it may be slightly cold in november 🙂
3. we wore the same outfit on saturday night. i just posted about mine! you look gorg! 🙂
Those trolley tours look so fun! Looks like DG had a great celebration for his birthday. So much yummy looking food.
Looks like you had such a fun weekend! Glad the weather was so awesome so you could spend a bunch of time outside. Thankfully we had awesome weather here as well which meant lots of fun outdoor fall activities here as well!!
Bummer about the pedicure! I haven't had a bad one of those but I've had a really bad blowout before.. I'm not usually one of those people to complain but I had to call and say something to stop this lady from doing the same thing to other people haha and they offered to give me my money back which was really nice!
Bummer about the pedicure! I've never had a bad pedi, but have definitely been cut before during a manicure. The lady tried to tell me the cut was already there and she just reopened it…umm no. I hate awkward situations like that and never know what to do! I think I just tipped her less than I normally would have.
What a great birthday weekend you planned.. that trolley looks like so much fun! We have that in Charlotte too but I've never done it.. definitely on the list 🙂
What an amazing weekend!! All of that food looks divine! I've always wanted to try one of those trolleys!! So fun!
