Today is the last day to register to vote in North Carolina for the November 6 election. Our midterm elections are incredibly important, but especially this year. Please make sure that you are registered to vote, know your polling place, and take a friend (or 2, or 5) to vote with you. Make your voices heard!
My obsession with Friday Night Lights and Tim Riggins isn’t a secret. I really loved this recap of people’s favorite Tim Riggins moments.
I am over halfway done with this semester of grad school, and it is hard for me to believe that! I only have two classes standing in the way of my degree, and then I’ll be heading into the next phase of my schooling.
Y’all, Hurricane Florence was all the talk for a while, and now it has died down in the news. People are just starting the rebuilding process. Some of my friends are not going to be able to get back to their homes for at least 8 more months. Please don’t forget about them. Want to donate? Check out this post. Also, you can support Jones County, NC by buying one of Vivian Howard’s Country as Cornbread t-shirts here.
My skin has been incredibly dry recently, so I love this face mask to help hydrate.
I have long admired Hawks and Doves, a leather shop in Raleigh, on Instagram. On Monday, I logged in to Instagram, and the first post I saw was of their hand-stamped leather keychains and I knew I had to have one, or three. Part of the proceeds go to sexual assault victims. You could do some early Christmas shopping like I did.
Sunday night, I went to Mandolin Farm for their cocktail hour. I wore this dress that I picked up from Amazon, and I am still laughing at Courtney’s reaction to goats. You can check out my Instastories Highlights tab under “North Carolina” for more. Want to see more of our recent Amazon Purchases? Check out this post here!
Y’all, I have to admit that David turned me into a Yankees fan. It’s only fair really, considering that he supports my ECU Pirates. But now that the Yankees are no longer playing, how am I going to pass the time without being able to watch Aaron Judge?
David and I went kayaking at Lake Brandt in Greensboro on an REI outing, and we stayed hydrated with TEN water. I love that the water has electrolytes in. It’s definitely my new favorite bottled water brand. And check out other REI outdoor adventures here.
We got way more rain and wind than we expected from Hurricane Michael, so we are hoping that everyone is safe and dry. We are heading to the State Fair tomorrow.
