With only 2 days left in 2024, I am wrapping up my monthly series of 5 things I tried and loved. I genuinely enjoy this series, especially as I have been working on being more intentional with purchases and consumption. For 2025, I will be moving this series over to my Substack, which is my newsletter platform. If you are not already following me there, the content there is a bit more in real time and more personal. I find a lot of joy in creating content there and I would love to have you join me in that space, too!
For the last month of 2024, some of my favorites include hydrating skincare, a fun sweater, the best smelling holiday candle, a new lip color, and a velvet quilt with matching pillow shams. Scroll below for the 5 things I tried & loved in December 2024.

5 Things I Tried and Loved in December 2024
Velvet Quilt with 2 Pillow Shams

I added this velvet quilt and the matching pillow shams to our primary bedroom for the winter and it has come in handy on the cold evenings. The velvet is really luxe and it comes in multiple color options. I liked it so much that I ended up getting another one for the guest bedroom, too. It washes well and is great quality for the price.
Hotel Lobby Candle Five-Wick in Holiday

One of my favorite annual purchases is the Hotel Lobby Candle in Holiday. Last year, I splurged on the 5-wick candle and it lasted the whole season. I ended up getting one at the end-of-season sale and did the same this year because it just smells so darn good. All holiday fragrances are 30% off on Hotel Lobby Candle, so it is a great time to stock up.
Orgaid Firming and Nourishing Sheet Mask

This is my absolute favorite sheet mask and it has come in so handy from post-holiday airplane travel. I get mine locally at Aillea in Village District in Raleigh. This mask reduces signs of aging while deeply hydrating and nourishing the skin with this chemical-free face mask. It is crafted from organic essential oils and extracts, this formula moisturizes and calms while reducing swelling to reveal softer, smoother skin.
Anthropologie Cashmere Mock-Neck Sweater: Sequin Edition

I picked up this sequin sweater for my collection and it is so soft and nice with the cashmere fabric. It is not itchy and while I paired it with these pants and these heels, it would also be great with a skirt or a pair of denim. I featured it in my favorite sweaters for winter.
Ilia Lip Sketch Hydrating Lipstick + Lip Liner Crayon

ILIA is one of my favorite clean beauty brands and I love this lip pencil. It comes in a ton of color options, which I am wearing in Night Bloom here. I have it in a neutral color, Pampas, that I enjoy as well. It goes on so easy, is hydrating, and the color lasts. I do often put it overtop of my trusty Aquaphor for extra hydration. If you are in the market for a new msacara, Ilia’s lash lengthening mascara is my go-to. It makes your lashes so long and is helpful for sensitive eyes.
