Welcome September + August 2018 Instagram Roundup

Happy Monday and happy September, friends! I am so excited about this month and all that it holds! David and I are heading to New York City after a couple of years of wanting to go. We actually had flights scheduled in July and ended up having to reschedule, but we’re so excited it worked out to go this fall! Today, I’m welcoming September with an August 2018 Instagram Roundup!

I loved checking out the new location of Happy + Hale for brunch and an aperol spritz in my Duffield Lane top.

August marked a year since our trip to Nashville, which was another city that we rescheduled our flight to a couple of times before finally arriving.

I always love celebrating National Watermelon Day with a Hell or High Watermelon and some sort of watermelon themed clothing (see here and here).

One of my favorite treats is Goodberry’s, especially when the flavor is peanut butter!

I shared some of my favorite sushi places in Raleigh, including this deliciousness from City Market Sushi.

I am still swooning over our anniversary trip to Lakeview at Fontana in Bryson City. David and I haven’t been able to stop raving about it, and we’re excited that some of our friends are heading there in the fall.

One of my favorite happy hour spots in Raleigh is Little City in downtown Raleigh. I also am loving this black jumpsuit for transitioning to fall.

I started going back to barre, and I always look forward to a Buoy Bowl after my Sunday work out. P.S. how fun is this door mat?

David started a new school year at a new school, but he kicked off his summer vacation by surprising me with a trip to Topsail. It was my first time visiting the island, and now I’m smitten! Favorite swimsuit and earrings for the summer!

I am still craving this salad from River’s End in Bryson City, which also checked off a restaurant on my 25 Restaurants I’m Wanting to Try list.

My favorite dress of the summer is this Madewell dress!

I transitioned to a new role in public education back in July, and I facilitated my first meetings this month. This Letterfolk board gave me a lot of peace and strength leading up to those meetings.

Windowbox Wednesday from last year’s Winston-Salem trip! I’m so excited to be heading back to Winston-Salem in a couple of months to bring you what to do during the holidays!

While I have been focusing on simplifying, our trip to Lakeview at Fontana really proved why this is important to me. I felt so relaxed being away from clutter and material objects while on our trip, and have been trying to incorporate that throughout our daily lives since then.
