I’m back with another installment of the Joy Filled Home Challenge! [See my 1st, 2nd, and 3rd post by clicking on the links.] I have really enjoyed doing this because it has made me really think about my home and how lucky I truly am.
Day 18: When I get home from a long day at work, you can find me here.
Last week, I showed you where I blog, but I mentioned that this is my spot. The first thing I do when I get home from work is put on my favorite pair of sweat pants and curl up with a blanket, my pup at my feet, a glass of wine, a magazine or book, and nail polish. I change my polish about 3 times a week, so this is a pretty common scene. Also, I love to watch Will & Grace whenever I can in the evenings.
Day 19: A window.
The house has so much natural light in it. This window provides a lot of it. Winston loves to lay at the top of the steps because he can see out of this window. I love this window because it always gives me a clear indication of the weather. This week has had some sunny days, but also some pretty dreary days. I caught this picture on a pretty dreary and chilly day.
Day 20: Morning in your home.
Every morning starts out with a cup of coffee from my Keurig. DG bought me this for Christmas a couple of years ago. He was trying to surprise me but wanted to make sure my mom and his mom knew not to get me one and he accidentally texted me instead of them telling them that he had gotten me the coffee maker. So, he gave it to me early and I have used it every day since. It’s a game changer.
Day 21: Favorite fall or Thanksgiving decor.
I wrote numerous posts about fall decor, but I love white pumpkins. Last year, I had DG paint a white pumpkin with a “G,” and without asking he did it again this year. I loved having mantle space to decorate this year, so I went a little overboard. Sadly, I’m taking our fall decor down today so that I can clean and get ready for Christmas decorations next week.
Day 22: Something borrowed.
There isn’t actually anything borrowed in the house. However, I decided to post about the cotton that I took from a family friend’s farm last fall to use in decorating the house. When I go home for Thanksgiving, I’m getting some new cotton to replace this bunch.
Day 23: Your city or “greater” home.
I took this picture last December when DG & I were on our way to our favorite restaurant in Raleigh. Since Raleigh is where DG and I met, downtown Raleigh holds a special place in my heart.
Day 24: I’m thankful for __________.
(Picture taken 2 years ago by our friend Emily-Claire)
I’m ridiculously thankful for these 2 guys.
Next week is the last week of the Instagram home challenge. Stay tuned for my last installment.
All of these pictures are amazing!! I LOVE the thanksgiving decor and I can't go a day without my keurig!!
How often do you start a new photo challenge?
This is the first challenge I've actually done on my blog. I used to do them on Instagram, but then I felt like I was annoying to all my followers, so I decided to do a weekly post on here. There is a holiday one that Lululemon is doing weekly, so I will start that one next week!
Thanks for stopping by. Your blog is precious! xo
