I hope you’re having a great holiday weekend! We are having a lovely weekend with my sister-in-law in town and have been exploring some of our favorite past of the Triangle. You can follow along with our adventures over on Instagram! We are sending positive vibes to our friends bracing themselves for Hurricane Dorian, and we are hopeful that our friends in Eastern NC will avoid more damages.
Thanks for joining me for the August 2019 Instagram Roundup! I hope you have a wonderful September!

I recently shared some of the best restaurants in Raleigh that aren’t actually in Raleigh. A new place that I’d add to that list is Osha Thai Kitchen & Sushi, with their delicious sushi offerings and the Pad Thai.
There are a few weeks left to enjoy summer, so be sure to try the frosé at Vita Vite in Midtown.
I am excited to share our home office updates in the coming days, but here are a few favorites in our space.

I’m sending positive vibes to my friends down in eastern NC. It hasn’t even been a year since Hurricane Florence tore through eastern NC, and I am worried about what will come of Hurricane Dorian and this hurricane season in general. I am grateful David and I were able to spend so much time in some of my favorite spots in eastern NC this summer. Check out my travel guide for Belhaven and our stay at Between Water and Main.
Here’s another amazing space in my beloved eastern North Carolina. These sunsets and views are the absolute best. Be sure to check out my travel guide to Ocracoke Island here.
On our trip to Belhaven, we finally got to eat at Spoon River, which has been on my list for a while. I shared five destination restaurants in eastern North Carolina that are well worth the trip and experience.
I absolutely adore this jumpsuit from Gal Meets Glam. The fabric is perfect for humid and hot weather, and even better for the date night David and I had on the rooftop at the Dillon.
I went to visit my BFF in Little Washington and we had lunch at The Hackney, a new restaurant in town. The interior is absolutely gorgeous and the drinks are delicious.
I shared how I started making more time to do things I enjoy around the house, including the time with the boys. You can see more here and join me in the #MakeTime Challenge from Wente Vineyards.

I’m so proud of my home county having one of the destination restaurants in eastern North Carolina. You can see all about my supper with my friends last fall here.
I got to soak up an afternoon with sunflowers, a sunset, and this Free People dress on an afternoon where I really needed it.
This is one of my favorite transition outfits for fall. I wore it on our stay in Richmond a couple of years ago, and it has stayed timeless. Check out our stay at Linden Row Inn, a gorgeous boutique inn rich with history.

One of my favorite getaways in North Carolina is to the Graylyn Estate in Winston-Salem. I was daydreaming about it a few weeks ago when I was feeling stressed out and overwhelmed.
These are window box goals in Washington, NC.
I drive frequently for work, so I keep snacks in my car for being on the go often. These Sahale Snacks are unique mixes and perfect for satisfying cravings.

David and I spent a relaxing weekend in Pinehurst a couple of weeks ago. I’ll be sharing more details about our stay later this week.
Sweater | Skinnies | Booties | Earrings | Handbag
I can’t talk about Winston-Salem without talking about one of the best meals of my life at the Katharine. The chef came out to chat with us after dinner and high-fives me for finishing everything on my plate. I won’t lie, I was proud of myself for that.
We’ve had a tease at cooler temperatures in the morning recently, and this sweater is a great transition piece for chilly mornings but warmer afternoons.
David and I tried the bartaco secret taco in North Hills a few weeks ago. It’s the fried oyster taco, and it’s been so popular (and tasty!) that they’ve extended it to October 1. I wore my new fave tee and these skinnies with my favorite summer sandals.
One of my favorite things is to relax in a rocking chair. We were able to do just that on a rainy afternoon while visiting Pinehurst. Sweater | Skinnies | Booties | Earrings | Handbag
