I cannot believe we are welcoming another month and I am just a couple of days away from finishing up graduate school. I don’t know what I’ll do with all my free time for the brief two weeks before I move into the next phase. Today, I’m excited to welcome May with an April instagram roundup. The chicken biscuit with cheese from Sunrise Biscuit Kitchen in Chapel Hill is one of my all-time favorite breakfasts. Check out 2 healthier options here.

I first tried Cerveza Patagonia Bohemian Pilsner in Wilmington in March and I am really loving it! The best part? If you buy a case, they plant a tree!

I am still swooning over our trip to Baltimore last month. This staircase is a monument in the Charm City and the Kimpton Monaco Baltimore is in the old B&O Railroad Headquarters (yes, like Monopoly). Be sure to stay tuned for Friday’s post with a travel guide for what to see in the city.

This outfit is my go-to in the spring and summer (and also fall if I’m being honest). I loved wearing it in Baltimore during the warm days, and adding this sweatshirt over it at night.

This will forever be one of my top 3 favorite photos of the boys. I shared it on #NationalPetDay on Instagram in addition to some silly ones that capture their personalities as well. If you’re looking for a pet friendly hotel that will pamper your pups and make them feel like royalty, be sure to check out The Siena Hotel in Chapel Hill.

Another favorite spot for a getaway is the Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill. It is a true gem in North Carolina and you don’t even have to leave the property to get a full experience of the town!

I asked David to take me for ice cream Sunni Sky’s in Angier and, unfortunately, I dropped it down one of my favorite shirts. So, throwing it back to when I wore it to date night at Mandolin when I was much more bronzed.

One of my go-to orders a restaurant is fried shrimp and this dish from Pilot House in Wilmington was a delicious one!

Wearing one of my new tops for spring while exploring the Inner Harbor in Baltimore.

While I’m not normally one for dessert, I couldn’t resist trying this Old Bay Caramel ice cream from the Charmery in Baltimore. It was a really unique flavor and I definitely recommend trying it if you find yourself in the city. Also, I attribute this ice cream cone for my ice cream craving when I got back.

I mentioned in my travel essentials post that I got a blow out from the Dry Bar before heading up to Baltimore. I find that makes my travel experience so much easier because I don’t have to worry about styling my hair while traveling, which saves suitcase space and time.

We finally got our front porch spring ready and one of my favorite ways to unwind after work is watering our plants and then catching up on the news from our porch swing. I also got a few questions about my Rothy’s: I sized up half a size in the Points and have found them to be very comfortable. It’s officially patio and rooftop season, although I would argue that it never goes out of season. I met my friend Clarke for happy hour to celebrate the end of grad school and it was a delightful afternoon! Stay tuned for upcoming posts on the best patios and rooftops coming soon!

One of the absolute best new spots in Raleigh is Barcelona in the Dillon. The patio is absolutely perfect and the sangria is perfect for happy hour or Sunday Funday.

Another one of my tried and true favorites is a wedge salad, and this version with blackened shrimp from Miss Shirley’s Cafe in Baltimore was a delicious lunch choice!
