Well, here we are. If you’re like DG and me, we’re looking around wondering where the heck the year has gone, starting to prepare for Thanksgiving, writing down shopping lists for Christmas gifts, and finalizing our travel plans for Christmas this year. How in the world are we saying welcome November and doing an October Instagram round up? But we are, so without any further comments about how fast time is flying (right?), or babble, here are some favorites from October.
We welcomed October with pumpkins galore, my favorite slippers, and lots of coffee for seasonally appropriate temperatures.
Did you check out my favorite fall date night ideas? P.S. I am obsessed with this shirt, vest combo and this hand bag.
I had the best time planting fall flowers around our new house! P.S. My nail color is OPI You Don’t Know Jacques.
This J. Jill sweater paired with my favorite jeans and mules has been on major repeat this fall.
I wish every day was National Taco Day so I could justify eating at Cantina 18 daily.
I can’t wait to wear this shirt again for the holidays. Check out the original post here.
I went back east to visit my parents and had to make a little pit stop on the side of the road to check out this year’s cotton crop. Shop my favorite flannel, my go-to jeans, and these duck boots.
And we went to dinner at The Hen & The Hog in Halifax. I’m so proud to have such a delightful restaurant where I grew up. If you decide to visit, check out this travel guide.
Check out our stay at Le Méridien in Charlotte for DG’s birthday here.
It was unseasonably warm for a lot of October, but I loved flashing back to this photo shoot from last year at the Family Farm in Holly Springs. P.S. Check out these boots here.
I’m still swooning over this Jaguar that DG and I test drove.
I was so honored to be invited to meet Kathy Ireland for the launch of her new furniture line at the High Point Furniture Market. I wore this shirt, velvet skirt, booties, and carried this handbag.
Did you check out my posts about Winston-Salem? Here’s where to stay, where to have dinner, and what to do. And this sweater from Madewell is on a great sale right now.
I can’t wait to share this look with you in the coming weeks from The Impeccable Pig.
I was so excited that Angela and I got to meet David Yurman at Bailey’s in Cameron Village a few weeks ago. He was the sweetest and just a ton of fun.
I’ve been loving our house for fall and this photo from our front porch was one of my most popular posts on Instagram in a while. Shop the plaid rug here, a similar Welcome rug from Target here, and the original Magnolia one here. And I’m currently learning how to use this Google Home Mini and I’m already obsessed.
This outfit is seriously a go to for me… chambray shirt, black jeans, gray handbag, gray flats.
Check out this post for outfit details.
The second part of our date night from Charlotte is here, including our rooftop experience at City Lights.
I’ve been loving this striped shirt, pencil skirt, and necklace for work.
And this sweater tunic and jacket from J. Jill have come in handy for the cooler temperatures we finally welcomed in Raleigh!
What are you looking forward to for this month?
