Forgive my poorly staged picture but I took this in a rush. We’re still friends, right?
I really hate winter weather in general, but one of the worst problems is how dried out my skin gets. This year, I tried to be more proactive with my skin care to prevent the problems of the past.
Here’s what I’m using:
{On My Face}
I’m using Rinse Squalane Oil in the morning under my tinted moisturizer and at night under my Nivea cream. I use Nivea cream because I read on Ashley’s blog that it rivals La Mer. Which is cool because Nivea is definitely in my budget where as La Mer isn’t. I also use Bobbi Brown’s Hydrating Eye Cream in the morning under my concealer and then again before bed. I also swear by Dr. Lipp Original Nipple Balm for Lips for dry lips year round. I also use Bioderma to remove my make-up before bed. There are times I come home from work and just use this right away. It is SO good. I highly recommend and I have really sensitive skin. I also use Boots No. 7 Mineral Spray to set my make-up and also before bed. It instantly hydrates and I highly recommend if your skin is really dehydrated. Sometimes, I spray before a run to keep my face from getting too dry.
{On My Hands}
In the morning, I use Library of Flowers Willow & Water hand cream (not pictured). It is hands down my favorite scent right now! At night, I use Burt’s Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream (recommended by Joey) treatment followed by Lollia Relax hand cream. I am sure it is mind over matter, but I find that Lollia’s Relax fragrance does just that for me.
{On My Feet}
Because I’ve started running again, my feet are super cauloused. So, I’m using Bath & Body Works Heel of Approval. I put it on before I run and again before bed and I have definitely noticed a difference this time.
{All Over}
I have really sensitive skin and use only Dove bath products. When I saw Mia’s review of Dove Winter Care body wash, I decided to try it out. I’m obsessed! I use Eucerin Intensive Care body lotion. It is so hydrating that I’m pretty sure I’ll use this year round. I also use Josie Maran Argan Oil on my face, around my cuticles, on my lips, and anywhere else that needs a little extra hydration.
What are you using to hydrate your skin this winter? What should I try next?
My favorite part about this is that you have all drugstore and easily accessible products. I swear, sometimes I click on something like this and it's like $120 for a bottle of lotion that's like 1 oz. That's just not my life. Even if I had lots of money, I can't imagine spending it like that. I cheap lotions and creams like this!
Great shares–I need to check out the heel of approval you mentioned!
And of course we're totally still friends despite a rushed photo (still looks ok to me!!) 🙂
definitely going to need to check out the Heel of Support stuff! Me heels get so dry in the winter!
I'm taking notes on what you use on your hands – this year they are turning to dust with the cold!! 🙁 xo, Biana – BlovedBoston
blogger keeps eating my comments today!! Wah! I actually really like winter weather but cannot stand how dry everything feels! Definitely need to grab some of that heel of approval. My feet are SO dry and cracked 🙁
I so need that foot cream. My feet are terribly dry. I love la mer but hate the price tag. I so need to check out that Nivea cream!! Thanks for posting this.
Nivea is so good to use. I recommend using some of Simple's facial stuff if you're looking to add to your collection 🙂
Anything & Everything
I keep looking for that Dove body wash and I haven't been able to find it. I really want to try it though! That is a fun fact about the Nivea cream too! I actually have some right now in my makeup bag that I keep in my purse. Those other products sound very nice too. Thanks for sharing! 🙂
*Sigh* I couldn't agree more! I get the worst dry skin in the winter. Love this post!

I will only use Dove body wash, too – it's just so moisturizing! I tried La Mer once and honestly didn't think it was worth the money so you're definitely better off with the Nivea 😉 My favorite winter product for my face is Egyptian Magic!
Thanks so much for sharing! I live where there are really harsh winters so I'm always looking for tips!

my skin hurts right now… plain hurts 🙁
Girl you are covered when it comes to the moisturizer regimen! I need to be better, especially given I have tons of fun lotions and am just too lazy to do more ha.
Ugh my face gets SO dry in the winter… not cute. The Bobbi Brown cream is my jam. I need to try some of these others!
I haven't tried some of these but my face is getting so dry, so I'll be checking some of these out! Thanks!
I am loving this post!! I need to expand some of my winter weather skincare products and love that these are mostly drugstore/affordable. Thanks for sharing girl!
I'm also a huge fan of Dove body wash, but I've been on the hunt for a better facial moisturizer, so I'll definitely be checking out a few of these. Thanks for sharing – winter skin is the worst! xoxo, – M @ The Sequin Notebook
