Happy Friday, my friends! I am really looking forward to this weekend and getting to head to the beach for a little R & R with Angela & Glory! David and I are both on new professional journeys and we are really excited about all that comes with that type of change. Today, I’m excited to share my August edition of coffee talk!
I have been working on purging and minimizing clutter and “things” in my space. I have been really intentional about bringing items in my space that bring me joy and happiness, and not things that create anxiety or frustration. It has really been helpful for me and I have enjoyed the act of simplifying. Here is a recent article I read about the clutter-depression-anxiety cycle and the part about organizing not being simplifying really spoke to me.
This has been one of my favorite face masks for the summer! Here is another post about my self-care favorites.
David and I are going to a new city next month, and I really want this jumpsuit to take with us! I also love this maxi dress and this lace dress that I saw on my friend Lindsey’s Instagram.
I still love to use a paper planner, and this Rifle Paper Co. one is so cute with its stickers! I also love this desk pad!
Did you know that Amazon has a clean beauty shopping list? I am really trying to resist the urge to order one of everything. Check out my recent Amazon purchases here.
After a couple of month’s break, I joined Pure Barre again. I had been doing ClassPass, and was enjoying that, but I definitely struggled with the lack of consistency. In my brief time back, I am already so thrilled.
With the trip that David and I are planning, I can’t help but reflect on the first times I traveled to some of my favorite cities. I did not travel a ton growing up, so my first tastes of traveling were to Charleston, D.C., and New York City. I have loved visiting those cities as an adult, and I am looking forward to more trips in the future. Check out some of my favorite Charleston posts (here, here, and here) and D.C. (here, here, and here).
I have loved history for as long as I can remember, and I have really been loving the Twitterstorian movement! My personal favorite is Kevin Kruse over @kevinmkruse. I read his threads every morning when I wake up. Check him out if you’re looking for someone to relate current debates to historical ones.
My friend Hannah sent me this lip color (in Mehr) a couple of months ago, and I am obsessed with it!
This print really spoke to me, and I added it to our master bedroom decor. I really am looking forward to sharing a home tour with y’all in the future.
